Sounds like a terrific fighting method, I must try it...

Oh, and a terrific web site...

I would like to say to all that I am a practitioner of sun kune do for 2 years now. I was recently attacked and effectively defended my self .

In my first 6 months of sun kune do I have learnt more than my previous martial art form (Tae kwon do)

My confidence has increased studying this modern art of Self defense. I would like to thank my Sensei Raza Gani. Your instruction and this art has probably saved my life.

Sun kune do should be push forward to make the public aware of this brilliant form of martial art self defence.

Thank you Rufia Rahmen

Listen everybody This art sun kune do is really the the best

I am sturdy now for 3 months now and I really enjoy it. Sun kune do should be bigger than karate and Taekwon do, If everybody new about it.

I am hope to teach one day and take it with me to my native country Poland.

Was in Chigwell last night at the Unofficial Boxing Championships! Nice to See Charlie get a win(Congradulations mate), and a Sun Kune Do-ist get the victory over a kick boxer in his own field. Very disappointed Gavin Sibson didn't fight. Gavin is a top class fighter and was gutted he didn't get to fight. Oh well nice website. Mike J.

I took a lesson from sun kune do from the founder and I have to say that after sturdying kickboxing, karate and tae kwon do this form of martial art proves to be the best form of all round self defence. If you only know how to punch and kick how can you possibly say that you can defend yourself. The instruction of Sensei Joseph was nothing more than superb.

Thank you for helping me choose the right martial art.

For those of you who think sun kune do is like bruce lee's jeet kune do..well it is very similar. You should check out this exciting martial art created in my opinion by a man who is deadlier than bruce. Sun kune do and jeet kune do practitioner.

I use to practise various forms of martial arts until I found sun kune do. Although everyone who has been involved in this new form of martial art has nothing but praises, let me say that I spoke recently to the founder and he said something that really inspired me to work harder. There is no such a thing as the best martial art, only best individual. "The Gracies jujitsu is not unbeatable, they each worked individually hard to make themselves what they currently are. Jeet Kune do did not make Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee made himself. The art is only a name it is the individual that counts". Sun kune do or any other martial art will not work for you, it is what you put into it that it will give you back. He further openly said that Sun Kune Do is not better than Karate, or Kung Fu or Tae Kwon Do or any other martial art form that is out there. As time changes people change everything changes. He thought Sun Kune Do was more applicable to modern times as suppose to practising a martial art which is a few hundred years old utilising weapons that you would never use on modern society.

While it is true that knowledge is power it is the individual that really counts.

I would like to thank you Sensei Steve Joseph for your inspiration.

I am a practioner of sunkunedo and i recently visited this website. I am in awe firstly of the skill of Sensei Steve Joseph and some of his many black belts an even more intrigue by the History of sunkunedo. In reading your guestbook i can also see why you are so highly respected by not only your pupils, but also fellow martial arts practioners alike.

Thank you for your help and support Sensei throughout the year 2000

You have a student for life

I am karate enthusiast and recently read this website. (very well put together by the way) i have heard of Sun kune do and one individual came to mind. A young lady by the name of Nicola Thompson

I saw her fought a few times in the WAKO invents and she was awesome. She obviously trained in this art due to the print on her back. Is she still fighting. She is truly excellent competitor Maybe she can give me some tips.

Great website. I had a chance to train with Steve Joseph at the Cannons adventure kickboxing and Sun Kune Do. Thank you very much. I enjoyed the kickboxing seminar and found the art of Sun Kune Do nothing less than awesome. The combine techniques of throws locks and strikes is a must I agree for total self defence.

Thank you again.

My name is Mei First I am Korean and secondly I am The womens South Korean Tae kwon do Champion. I train since the age of 5. Black belt. I am now 20 something. Anyway I came to England to Study and wanting to maintain my practise I looked for good school. Nobody in England hardly train like koreans. All different. I came to Sun Kune Do and saw this man training(steve Joseph). I asked to train freespar/fighting. We went to his local gym to train very hard.

i wanted to show what I can do and Taekwondo consist mostly of kicks.I know I have good kicks. This is what I thought, until I spar Steve Joseph. Everytime I kick he kept trapping my leg. Then followed into leg lock. He also have good kicks too. When I punched because i was within range I was either throwned punched back or arm locked.

It was then I realised that my training was not complete. I felt very low because in Korea my instructor is Master Grade 9th dan.

I was surprised when Steve said he was limiting his techniques to a few. (pardon but My english is not very good)

For anyone who wish to learn Sun Kune DO is great move in study of real fighting martial art. After what happen I felt to Honour Mr. Joseph by including this in his comment list.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you Mr.Joseph for your training. Hope there will be alot more of training with us together.
