Welcome to the Sun Kune Do Website

This modern Martial Art consists of various techniques taken from the practical elements of several fighting arts. It is our aim to prepare our pupils for every aspect of fighting for sport or self-preservation, in this way they will deal with any form or style effectively. This modern style is one of the most practical realistic approaches to modern self-defense.

Most forms of Martial Arts place emphasis on one form of fighting. For example Judo uses throwing, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kick/Thai Boxing use punches and kicking, Aikido Ju Jitsu uses strikes and locks.  Some forms of Martial Arts require a fit and young able body, while others are so rich in knowledge, they require ten years or more to learn.   However practical the above may be, it is our belief that real fighting has no single form.  A common story heard is of the black belt, who is beaten by the ordinary street fighter.  If you are accustomed to only limited techniques in training, you could be unaware of the tug, scratch and wrestle of a real fight confrontation.
